Michael Cook was born and raised in the Lytton Park neighbourhood of North Toronto as the youngest of four kids and attended French Immersion at John Fisher Public School, Glenview Senior Public School, North Toronto CI and Leaside High School.

From 1995 to1999 Michael studied History, English and Sociology at McGill University before moving to Hiroshima, Japan to teach English and travel in Asia.

Michael moved to the East End of Toronto upon returning home from Japan and fell in love with the neighbourhood.

Michael has a passion for people and this is reflected in Michael's previous careers, which include working in Sales at Softchoice, Marketing at Microsoft, luxury active travel at Butterfield and Robinson, beverage alcohol consulting with The Martini Club, and as Director of Client Services and Producer with the award-winning production company studio m. It is Michael's passion for working with and helping people that led Michael into the exciting world of real estate.

Michael has three children, and loves being a dad. Michael also loves travel, cooking, skiing, the arts, and spending time at the cottage at Bruce Beach on Lake Huron.
